Nikon Japan announced on November 8, 2011 that it will stop domestic shipments of some digital SLR cameras and accessories as result of the Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Law after November 20th. The affected products include D300s and D700, wireless transmitter WT-3, multiple power battery pack MB-D10, MB-D200, and MB-D80, battery door cover BL-3, and Li-ion battery EN-EL9.

Nikon didn’t give detailed reasons why these products can no longer be shipped domestically. Exporting to other countries seems to be unaffected. Nikon Japan will also continue to provide after-sale services of the affected products.
