Sony just announced three Cyber-shot digital cameras featuring their Exmor R CMOS sensors: DSC-WX50, DSC-WX70, and DSC-TX200V. Among them, the new Cyber-shot TX200V is quite a different digital camera.
This untracompact model features a glass front panel and a 3″ 921k dot LCD display on the back. The TX200V is certified waterproof and dustproof but not shockproof.
Inside, the camera has a 18.2 megapixel CMOS sensor, 5x stabilized optical zoom lens.
The camera can record 1080P video in AVCHD format, take stills at 10 frames per second, and focus under 0.13 second in bright light and 0.25 second in dim light. CNet is questioning if the Sony TX200V is the most powerful ultracompact ever.
